Founders Market + Bistro
- Bon Appétit Kitchen Takeover
Services required: Public relations | Content creation | Event planning | Media coaching
THE CHALLENGE
Thanks to our deep connections in both hospitality and tourism, we were presented an opportunity to work with the Collier Visitors Bureau (CVB) and Condé Nast to create a PR campaign that supports regional food sustainability from SWFL and how the local food scene supported them.

The goal: create a buzz nationwide to highlight something our area identifies with.
THE WORK
-
In conjunction with the CVB, we created a PR campaign that showcased our iconic Stone Crabs industry which makes up 32% of the local fishing economy (over 31.2 million).

-
After a steep vetting process we selected a new, soon to open restaurant with a highly regarded culinary and bar team, The Founders Market + Bistro.

-
We co-created dishes, speciality drinks, set up visits on air boats with local stone crabbers + fisherman, and coordinated a side PR campaign with local media and the mayor of Everglades city.
THE RESULTS
Outstanding.

The campaign and content created assets highlighting the stone crab industry was well received and led to Bon Appetit Magazine picking up the story.

Bon Appetit Magazine flew our clients, the CVB, and, Main Course to NYC to host a live cooking demo their "Bon Appetit Kitchen Takeover" series in front of 50+ travel writers and media personalities at the World Trade Center Grand Kitchen - all before the restaurant opened its doors.

* The Founders Market & Bistro hosted its grand opening Feb 28th, 2020 and closed later that year due to the global impact of Covid-19.
