THE CHALLENGE
Literally, a challenge. An eating challenge.

Looking to create some hype and attention to our company, we decided to coordinate and host a "One Chip Challenge", with local chefs and public figures in the community. At the time, the Pacqui chip was gaining significant hype on social media and even mainstream T.V. for being the hottest chip in the world.

Creatively looking to capitalize, this broadcasted event included 10 contestants, 5 tubs of ice cream, and 1 hot chip CHAMPION. Rules were simple, last to drink milk or eat ice cream wins!
THE RESULTS
The response was overwhelming.

The event surpassed all expectations for attendance which including 3 of the 4 major local media companies.

The story made it on the front cover the Naples Daily News, back page of News Press, and online for USA Today.

Our social media was on fire for a week and half with tons of content.

The one-time event brought positive attention to the business while succeeding at something new and fun for the food community.
THE WORK
-
Create a Public Relations (PR) campaign that garnished at least local news attention and hopefully get in front of the Pacqui national eyeballs on a social media level.
-
Invite public figures and social media influencers to join as contestants and utilize their audience to help promote the event and create hype.
-
Collaborate with a hosting venue that would agree to do the event for free in return of marketing and public relations.
-
Tie in the small business community by partnering on other event assets: Ice cream (Royal Scoop), tableware and condiments (Global Food Store, restaurant venue (Sydney's Pub at Ritz Carlton).
